Tate & Lyle office rewarded with Gold in Better Future European Design Awards!

Office design for Tate & Lyle rewarded in international architectural competition! We won gold in the Better Future European Design Awards.

Better Future European Design Awards is an international competition rewarding projects that combine innovative design with positive social and environmental impact. The category in which we won the award recognizes sustainable interior designs, taking into account aesthetics, functionality, space planning and finishes.

Elegance and functionality – the pillars of the project

Our project for Tate & Lyle combines elegant design balanced by the rawness of concrete pillars and an open ceiling. The design includes product-inspired conference rooms, an elegant reception area, and a multifunctional space. A variety of plants were also placed throughout the office to improve air quality and to create a more comfortable and welcoming work environment.

The primary design goal was to create a ‘recipe’ for an office that would make full use of the space and meet the client’s needs: holding large company meetings as well as working in small teams, working in focus and informal team-building meetings. Another challenge was to showcase Tate and Lyle’s products in a non-obvious way.

The design of the meeting rooms was a unique solution in the project. Instead of using typical graphics, we took inspiration from Tate & Lyle products. Using a unique combination of materials, shapes and textures, we created compositions that abstractly reference the client’s products.

Customized flexibility

The space was designed to change according to the needs of the day. The daily work zone can easily be transformed into a spacious agora that serves as a meeting space for the entire team. Thanks to mobile walls and dividers, it is possible to instantly create several hundred meters of open space, without moving desks or other furniture. The space is multifunctional – it can be used for training sessions as well as informal cafeteria-style meetings. By using such innovative solutions, we have created a flexible office that supports a variety of work styles and employee needs.
