Michelin office design is a winner in the World Design Awards!

The Michelin office interior is another Colliers Define project that has received a prestigious award in an international competition! This time we were awarded in the World Design Awards in the “Corporate Design Concept” category.

The World Design Awards 2024 is a competition that recognizes outstanding ideas that redefine architectural design through the implementation of innovative technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics and spatial organization.

As Michelin is one of the most recognized organizations in the world, we wanted its new office to be a prestigious showcase that reflects international business standards and high-quality products. With this in mind, we created a unique space that combines aesthetics with functionality. At the same time, the office is an important selling point for attracting the best talent in the market.

Focus on employee comfort

Colliers Define architects created an office concept that focuses on the needs of employees. The open space is designed to make the most of the building’s rounded shape – triangular desks allow for optimal workstation arrangement, providing ample space and freedom of movement. In addition, individual lighting at each desk creates a cozy atmosphere that breaks the typical office character of the interior.

The office also provided solutions for integration and relaxation. In the open space, there are swings that encourage a moment of unwinding during breaks. On the other hand, an extended coworking area, connected to the kitchen, is a place for relaxation and cooperation, which fosters relationships among employees.

The use of natural materials, such as wood, and the incorporation of an abundance of greenery give the interiors a warm character. Michelin’s office design places special emphasis on employee well-being, combining aesthetics with functionality to promote employee comfort and productivity.

Interiors inspired by the brand identity

The interiors of the office have been designed in soft, organic shapes, alluding to the distinctive round shapes of tires that are the foundation of the Michelin brand. These motifs can be seen in the reception area, in furniture with soft lines, and in the ceiling and acoustic panels in the conference rooms, which resemble tire tracks. The brand’s color scheme, with navy blue accents, runs through the details, and the space is enhanced with graphics featuring the company’s logo and an image of Michelin’s mascot, Bibendum.
