Michael / Ström Dom Maklerski new office wins Gold at the Arch Design Awards!

The new office of Michael / Ström Dom Maklerski has been recognised at the international Arch Design Awards, receiving the Gold Award. The distinction highlights the strength of a concept built around minimalism, quality and a considered approach to the workplace.

The Arch Design Awards is a prestigious industry competition celebrating projects that stand out for their coherent concept, high-quality execution and skilful balance of aesthetics and functionality. The award for the Michael / Ström Dom Maklerski office confirms that a well-designed workplace can do more than look refined — it can also support a brand’s image and values.

A space that conveys prestige

The office concept is based on the idea of expressing prestige in a discreet and balanced way. Rather than relying on overt gestures, the design focuses on a minimalist aesthetic, premium materials and timeless elegance.

The space was designed to resist short-lived trends and remain relevant in the long term, while consistently communicating stability and trustworthiness — values that are essential in the financial sector.

From the outset, we knew that the key was not only what could be seen, but what could be felt. This interior was designed not to follow passing trends, but to build trust and create a strong first impression for years to come.

Lighting plays an important role in the project. Carefully selected colour temperatures and discreetly concealed light sources help shape the space and accentuate selected features.

Art is another important part of the interior. Oil paintings, graphic works and bas-reliefs give the space an individual character and strengthen its representative yet intimate atmosphere.

Throughout the delivery process, we focused on consistency and the linearity of finishes. Individual elements maintain the same heights and colour palette, creating the impression of a smooth transition between them. The acoustic solutions are also a major asset of the space, including acoustic plaster on the ceilings, which not only helps reduce noise but also gives the rooms a distinctive character.

A clear division of space

The office is divided into two distinct zones — one for clients and one for employees — while maintaining visual consistency throughout.

The client area was designed as the first point of contact: a space that builds trust and creates a positive experience from the moment visitors step inside. Natural materials such as stone, veneer, wood and leather dominate, complemented by carefully selected lighting and furnishings.

The employee area offers intimate spaces that support both focus and teamwork. It includes rooms for individual work, meeting rooms and shared areas that encourage everyday team interaction.

The kitchen is the central point of this part of the office — a place for integration and informal team meetings.

Although the office is divided into two functional zones — one client-facing and the other employee-focused — we maintained visual coherence throughout. Muted colours, high-quality materials, matt black finishes and neutral, soft fabrics create a modern and elegant interpretation of minimalism.

Timelessness in practice

The project incorporates solutions that support sustainable development, including the use of natural materials and the reuse of selected furniture elements from the company’s previous headquarters. This approach allows the space to combine a high aesthetic standard with long-term functionality.

The Michael / Ström Dom Maklerski office supports the brand’s professional image and remains aligned with the company’s values: trust, stability and a long-term approach to client relationships.

The Gold Award at the Arch Design Awards confirms that a consistent design approach — rooted in material quality, the thoughtful use of light and attention to detail — can translate into a coherent, functional space that responds both to users’ needs and to an organisation’s business objectives.
